The domain name the ethanol market types when it’s ready to buy.
We own BuyEthanol.com, an exact-match .com for ethanol, E85 and flex fuel. It works as a storefront for the trade, and just as well as the industry's front door to everyday drivers. It's for sale or lease for the right company or project.
01 Why this domain
We've owned BuyEthanol.com for many years. A name this specific deserves to go to someone who makes, moves, sells or champions ethanol.
Think about how people search. Somebody researching ethanol types a question. Somebody who has made up their mind types "buy ethanol." That's the moment every fuel marketer wants to be standing in front of, and this domain is the phrase itself.
It's also more than a search term. "Buy ethanol" is a call to action. For an industry group, a state association or a coalition of producers and retailers, it's a ready-made name for a campaign that tells drivers why E85 is worth choosing, how to tell if their car can use it, and where to fill up.
It works just as well offline. It's easy to say on farm radio, fits on a truck wrap, and reads cleanly on a pump topper or a trade-show banner. Nobody has to spell it for anyone.
If you're the right fit, we'd like to hear from you. It's available to buy or lease.
The owners of BuyEthanol.com
"Buy ethanol" is what someone types when they're ready to buy, not when they're still researching. Few domains say what a business does this directly.
Two plain words everyone knows how to spell. Easy to say on the radio, on the side of a tanker, or on the pump topper that sits above the nozzle.
For a business that sells or distributes ethanol or E85, owning the category's plainest name signals that you're established and serious.
The name reads as an invitation, which makes it a natural home for promoting E85 to everyday drivers: what flex fuel is, whether their vehicle can use it, and where the nearest pump is.
02 Why ethanol, why now
E85, sold as flex fuel, is a high-ethanol blend for flex-fuel vehicles (FFVs). Depending on season and region it contains 51 to 83 percent ethanol, as defined by the ASTM D5798 fuel standard.
Concentrated in the Midwest, where most US ethanol is made.
Every one of them can run on E85 or regular gasoline, in any mix.
Compared with 87 for regular gasoline, which is why performance and tuner drivers seek it out.
Argonne's GREET-based estimate for US corn ethanol in 2019. Results depend on farming, plant practices and land-use assumptions, and some studies find a smaller benefit.
Made at home. US ethanol is made domestically, mostly from American corn, at plants concentrated across the Midwest. That keeps fuel dollars in rural communities and adds a home-grown source to the nation's fuel supply.
Price, honestly. E85 usually costs less per gallon than regular gasoline. In April 2026 the national averages were $3.31 against $4.09. It also delivers roughly 15 to 27 percent fewer miles per gallon, so the fair comparison is cost per mile, which varies by region and week. Retailers who show drivers that math clearly win their trust.
EPA emergency waivers have allowed summer E15 sales for five straight years, including 2026. The House passed permanent year-round E15 in May 2026, and a Senate farm bill that includes it cleared committee in September. It isn't law yet.
In March 2026 EPA finalized the largest RFS volumes in the program's history for 2026 and 2027, keeping the implied conventional biofuel volume, mostly corn ethanol, at 15 billion gallons a year.
Extended in 2025 through fuel sold by the end of 2029. It rewards producers for lower-carbon fuel, which gives ethanol plants a reason to cut their carbon intensity. Treasury proposed rules in February 2026. Final rules are still to come.
Alcohol-to-jet technology turns ethanol into jet fuel. The first commercial ethanol-to-jet plant opened in Georgia in 2024. If SAF scales, ethanol could gain a large new customer in aviation.
Ethanol fermentation gives off a nearly pure stream of CO2 that is relatively easy to capture. Since late 2025, Nebraska ethanol plants have been shipping captured CO2 by pipeline to permanent storage in Wyoming, which lowers the carbon score of their fuel.
Bills such as the Next Generation Fuels Act would set a high-octane, low-carbon gasoline standard, open the door to E20 and E30, and restore credits for automakers that build flex-fuel vehicles. They've been introduced in several Congresses but not enacted.
These are trends and possibilities, not guarantees. Fuel policy moves in both directions, and every figure above links to or is sourced from a public report as of September 2026.

Adding flex-fuel pumps? Point drivers to your nearest E85 location with a name that tells them what they'll find there.
Take bulk and delivery orders from retailers, fleets and farms under a name that says exactly what you supply.
Station finders and price-comparison apps need a memorable home. This one comes with its own call to action built in.
Promote the fuel your members grow. A consumer campaign lands better when the web address is the message.
Solvents, sanitizers, labs and manufacturing. Buyers searching for ethanol by the drum or tote find a name that matches their order.
More than 20 million flex-fuel vehicles are already on US roads, and E85 is sold at thousands of stations. BuyEthanol.com could be the one place an industry campaign sends them all: a consumer site that explains the fuel, answers the common questions and points people to the pump. It's a name a radio spot, a billboard or a pump topper can say in a second.
